Use it like it was your own. Please leave it the way you would expect to find it. Preferably a little better than it was when you arrived.

It is at least expected that you
- clean the cabin and outhouse with soap and water before you leave
- move the same quantity of firewood, which you have used during your stay, from the outside storage 100 - 150 meters from the cabin.

You’ll need to bring a sleeping bag or blanket, or you can rent a sleeping bag with sleeping bag liner from the local scout group. (NOK 150 for a week or weekend.)

NOTE! There is no cleaning fee as you are required to clean after yourself. This includes all used utensils, tables, benches, the floor and outside toilet.

Things to remember:

Take your garbage with you when you leave.
(You can drop it off when you return the key.)

Do NOT leave any food in the cabin.

Fill UP the wood-box inside with both logs and small sticks. You may have to use the saw and the axe to cut your own wood pieces to get them usable.

Please clear the ash from the stove by putting it behind the outhouse. (Note: make sure the ash is cold, especially in summer, so you do not start a forest fire!)

Put the shutters back on the windows.

Lock the cabin, woodshed and outhouse.

The cabin is beautifully located and very cosy, a great place to disconnect from the everyday distractions of the modern world and to simply be present for a while, enjoying the simpler joys of life. Håvard has a great vibe and is really easy to communicate with, sharing stories about the cabin and taking his time to give us a proper explanation of how to get there. Thanks for a super stay!

Place and view great. But we were told was 3km tonealk and in relity were over 5km and host make us cary up there a big thank of gas that was crazy havy.

We had a fantastic time at the cabin! We had stayed here once before, and this time was just as wonderful as the last. It was easy to communicate with Håvard before and during the visit, and we would gladly recommend staying here to anyone!

The stay in Håvards cabin was nice and Håvard is a great helpful personality. Hiking in the aeea was good too. The cabin less shinny as shown in the pictures due to soot on the walls.

We were in need of some solitude and rest, so we were thrilled to find Håvard's listing for the cabin (Klunken) just outside of Oslo on Airbnb. Håvard was easy to communicate with, and very flexible in terms of our arrival and departure times. The cabin itself was such a treat, with a view that can not be captured in the pictures - a simply stunning look over the mountains, lake, valley, and the changing fall colors in the trees. We particularly enjoyed how easy it was to come to the cabin from the Oslo city center (just a short train ride and a hike up the mountain), and how seamless it was to move from the hustle-and-bustle of city-life to the stillness and calmness of Kluken so quickly. We would certainly recommend the listing to anyone looking for a slower pace of life for a couple of days, and we thank Håvard and the speiderne (scouts) for making this hidden little gem open to guests from around the world!
