SparkleBark Farm offers our guest cabin to those who want the comfort of a bed while enjoying the same breezes, wild flowers, fireflies, and early morning mist that you'd have while camping. Just a 15 minute drive away from downtown Asheville, NC.
Sparklebark Farm is a small-scale organic farm and homestead. For the past four years Zac and Bea, the owners, have been collaborating with a revolving cast of incredibly talented friends to make this land a model of sustainability, as well as natural and artistic beauty. We grow a ton of vegetables as well as flowers and keep flocks of free range chickens and ducks. Bea is a fine artist who makes beautiful nature-based drawings (check out her (email hidden)), and Zac is a builder and woodworker who has been pouring his heart into beautifying and constructing buildings and infrastructure at Sparklebark. Our vision is to continue to steward and beautify the land through agriculture as well as art, we are so excited to share this little slice of paradise!

Our furnished 3 season guest cabin sits at the crest of our mountain view. You're a short 20 yard walk from our fancy outdoor composting toilet and sink, but very secluded from our main house and the neighbors. Alongside the bathroom, is your very own beautifully crafted outdoor shower (yes, the water is hot!). Guests also have access to their own fire pit to make a small bonfire or roast some marshmallows (Firewood is complimentary). There is no kitchen access, but we are one mile away from the extremely popular Stoney Knob Cafe, 5 minutes from downtown Weaverville and 10 minutes away from all the delicious eats and drinks (BEER!!) Asheville has to offer.

While you are relaxing at the bottom of the hill, we are working like busy bees on top of the hill. Expect a friendly and warm welcome, but plenty of time to yourself as we farm our land, work on creative projects, and occasionally howl at the moon.

We are a queer-friendly space!
Sparklebark is a sanctuary. It is a safe space for women, families, and LGBTQ folks. We entrust that if you chose to come stay here you will bring an attitude of openness and respect for the land, its stewards, and our other guests. Its not a get wasted and party all night kinda place. Unless you do that very quietly. No smoking is allowed in any enclosed spaces or near the main house. Unfortunately we do not accept pets. With the wood floors, the garden beds, the chickens and our pet cat, dogs just don't mesh.
