Set at the foot of the Mount Mirnock mountain range and overlooking beautiful Lake Millstatt, this chalet-style 3-bedroomed house, located in scenic Dobriach, is perfectly placed for exploring all that Carinthia has to offer, in summer and winter.
Built in 2015, the house has been designed to make the most of the superb mountain and lake views, offering open-plan living space and a very large patio area upstairs, ideal for al-fresco entertaining and relaxing, and with a superbly appointed kitchen. The 3 double bedrooms downstairs (one with an en-suite) amply accommodate 6 guests, each with direct access to a patio area. Two of the bedrooms have king-sized beds, and one has two single beds.

We built the house as a holiday home both for ourselves and others to enjoy, but our main home is in the UK and so we are planning to leave holiday-makers in peace to enjoy their break

The property is built on a hillside (hence the wonderful views) and although it is possible to walk to the lake and Dobriach town, there is quite a steep hill to encounter! We would recommend a hire car to make the most of the local area, particularly for those who are less able to get around.
We love our Austrian home very much, and know that Airbnb guests will treat it with respect, as they would their own home. We want holiday-makers to enjoy it for years to come, and have decided that, although we love animals, it's best if we have a no pets and no smoking policy. The house has its' own grounds which is great for extra privacy, but all the same we try to be considerate towards our Starfach neighbours, who are very friendly and helpful, and would ask that our guests do the same.
My husband Nigel and I enjoy the outdoor life and are very fortunate to have homes in two wonderful places, Austria and the Isle of Wight. We love cycling and walking, especially if there is a nice pub serving delicious food at the end of the journey! Nigel is a keen golfer and I love to swim, and we do both regularly.
