Cal Foraster is a stunning fully-equipped rural vacation home impressively situated on a rocky outcrop above the Valley of la Conca de Tremp, providing magnificent views of mountains and lakes. Renovated to provide modern facilities whilst retaining the original farmhouse character. The region is a wildlife paradise with a wide range of birds, wild flowers and butterflies. It is an ideal place to experience many outdoor adventures and visit historic sites. The perfect ‘getaway’ holiday. Ideal for families and friends and can cater larger groups such as geologists, walking, climbing, and birdwatching associations. The nearest town, Tremp is 12 miles (20kms) away and has all the amenities required. There is a room with a full bed on the lower floor ideal for elders and person with reduced mobility who need wheelchair access.

The Space

The ancient farmhouse has been modernised sympathetically. At a height of 1000 meters it commands views from its terraces over the surrounding countryside, Terradets gorge and lake and the Montsec mountain range. All linen and towels are provided. In the winter months there are radiators in all rooms and the living room is also heated by a wood stove. (There is an extra charge in the winter months of €30 a day in cash for the oil consumption). There are A/A machines for summer period. Supplements can be applied for wood consume.



Bedroom 1 with double bed. In the lower floor, Ideal for elders who needn't to go upstairs.

Bedroom 2 with 2 bunk beds an 2 single beds.

Bedroom 3 with 1 full bed and 1 single bed. Spacious and attractive.

Bedroom 4 with 2 twin beds. Spacious.

Bedroom 5 with 1 full bed, 1 bunk bed and 1 single bed.

Bedroom 6 with 1 full bed and 1 single bed. Spacious and attractive.



With 3 spacious bathrooms with shower, toilet and one has a hydromassage bathtub and sauna.

The great terrace has outstanding views of the surrounding countryside and an open air jacuzzi bathtub.

Well equipped kitchen with 4 ring cooker plus oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The kitchen has a good range of crockery, glasses, and a variety of pans, serving dishes and implements. A washing machine is available in one of the bathrooms.

The large living room has access to a private terrace which has outstanding views of the surrounding countryside. There is a large flat screen TV with DVD player. The owner has some DVD’s to borrow on request. There no free WiFi broadband internet. There is a music player available.

Guest Access

Estorm is situated 5km from the main road and is reached via a tarmac country road that climbs up to the village. Parking is in the car park at the entrance to the village. There is then a 25m walk along a track but is now a wide street and cars can get to the very entry of the house if they need to carry heavy luggages. The owner will be available to give help and advice at any time. The property was specifically renovated and equipped for holiday rentals. The owner is registered with and approved by the Catalan authorities. Barbecues is available.

Guests rent the whole house and have their own independent access. It is not originally suitable for wheelchair access however there is a double bed room and a full equipped bathroom on the lower floor needing only to overcome two small steps from the street to access the property. The kitchen, dinning and living room are on the lower floor too. As well as the barbecue area and the garden.



Interaction with Guests

The owner or helper will be on hand to help with advice on areas to visit, walking, climbing etc. They live in the house adjacent to the rental. The owner and helper will endeavour to offer a friendly service so that guests can fully appreciate their stay in this amazing area.



The Neighbourhood

The location of Cal Foraster provides an opportunity to see the stunning rock formations near the house and the surrounding areas such as Mont-Rebei gorge or observe the night sky (Starlight Reserve certificate by UNESCO). It is exceptional in the mountain views it commands as well as offering the diversity of lakeland scenery. There are several fabulous walks from the house itself for which maps and information are provided. There are many outdoor activities in the region from climbing, walking, swimming in the nearby lake, canoeing, rafting, and mountain biking. The High Pyrenees are approximately 45 minutes away if you wish to experience alpine scenery as well. Do not miss Mur Castle! Due to its architecture and its conservation condition, is a landmark of the border castles in the Catalan counties. The region is a wildlife paradise with a wide range of birds, wild flowers and butterflies. It is an ideal place to experience many outdoor adventures and visit historic sites. The Farmhouse is the perfect ‘get away’ location.

A car is essential if you wish to stay at Cal Foraster and tour the area.

The house is completely no smoking. Pets are no allowed. The owner asks that guests are well behaved and respect the property they are renting.

Check-out is before 12AM



All prices include VAT. Local tax of €1 per person per night with a maximum application of 7 nights for guests over 16 years is excluded.

If the guests cancel or modify the reservation less than 7 days in advance, unused nights are not refundable. Otherwise there will be a 70% refund for unused nights.



A 100€ cash damage deposit is required upon arrival. Which will be returned once the spaces and objects have been verified.
