The original homestead circa 1860 began its life as the towns doctors' residence. Fast forward to present day and you will find a charming old cottage with a modern extension that has been thoughtfully designed, surrounded by a peaceful garden setting.
Conveniently located in the heart of McLaren Vale, we are only steps away from all that the region has to offer.
Make yourself at home! Take a swim in the pool, cook a BBQ and enjoy a glass of wine under our 170 year old pepper tree.

As you step through the front door of historic Cole-Brook Cottage, you will be drawn to the classic features that have been carefully crafted and maintained over time. With its stone walls, high ceilings, flagstone slate floors, leadlight doors and windows, Cole-Brook Cottage brings the authentic charm of the past to the present day.

The cottage includes 2 high ceiling bedrooms, both with queen beds, one of them with an ensuite bathroom. A second bathroom is available near the living area (the second bedroom and second bathroom are only available for booking of 3 or 4 people).

The living/dining room is setup for your relaxation with wood heater, smart TV with Netflix. You will fall in love with the fully refurbished country style kitchen, which includes a Smeg Victorian freestanding cooker, fridge, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster and microwave. You will have full access to a large private veranda located just outside the kitchen and also a small pergola where you can find the BBQ.

Outside, the expansive gardens are a joy to behold with slate paths which meander through the front garden. At the rear of the cottage a large Golden Elm provides the yard with shade while the in-ground pool is the place to be on a summer day.

Laundry facility available with washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

The cottage includes a modern extension, Cole-Brook New Cottage also available for bookings, so the pool may be shared with other guests from time to time.

2 bikes are available for your use along the Shiraz trail, located only 100m from our front door.
