Llanidloes is our nearest town which has lots if independent shops selling local produce, Saturday is market day; and it also has a Coop and Spar supermarket. The best coffee and food in Llanidloes is in the Great Oak Cafe at the top of Great Oak Street which has a lovely garden in the back yard. Llanidloes also has The Minerva Art Centre which usually has an exhibition on and the only medieval timber framed market hall in Wales with a fabulous permanent exhibition of the history of timber framed buildings. Llanidloes is the first town on the River Severn and was established as a weaving town and also famous for the significant part in played in the 'Chartist' movement and 'Rebecca Riots' in the 1830's. It is one of the loveliest small towns in Mid Wales and was recently voted the 3rd best place to live in Wales! You are guaranteed to get a friendly welcome.
