Tilbakemelding fra H. Weston:
Jen was great about giving us frank feedback on the place which we found very valuable as first time Airbnb hosts.
Her biggest criticism was about cleanliness due to the African dust that impacts the islands at that time of year. A thin coating of dust occurs due to the open-air breeze cooling of the place. It is not hermetically sealed and so that dust is essentially impossible to stay ahead of to a level of perfection. Kimmie now endeavors to wipe surfaces more closely to when guests arrive to mitigate this.
The close second was that the furniture appeared to be dirty. With the non-hermetically sealed nature of the place, the salty sea air takes it's toll on furniture rather rapidly. Replacing furniture to keep it resort perfect is not economically or environmentally feasible, but though it is weathered, it is clean.
Finally, they found two dead and one live cockroach. For St. Thomas, let alone a non-hermetically sealed fully AC conditioned space, this is an excellent report. Kimmie sprays for bugs every couple of weeks. But bugs happen. If you can't stand living with neighbors like geckos and the occasional bug, St. Thomas is not a good Airbnb destination for you. : )
