A fantastic conversion of the village Blacksmith's Forge into a trendy, eco-friendly, very well insulated upsidedown barn conversion in the heart of the Conservation Area,, with fantastic views across open countryside. Offering flexible accommodation comprising two bedrooms, one up, one down, each with their own bathroom, a wood burning stove, three DVD TV's, fully equipped modern kitchen, a washing machine and a full MVHR system and natural maple floors throughout create a unique place to stay!

Stedet
Located in a Thankful Village, this barn conversion property holds a completely unique honour of hosting the lucky horseshoe plaque on which coins were fixed in both the first & second world wars for every man who served. They all returned and so render this lovely place with luck! A rare commodity in today's busy world.

Gjestetilgang
Your accommodation is fully self contained and comprises living and sleeping accommodation over two floors. With full and free wi-fi throughout, three flat screen TVs with built in DVD players (a good selection of DVDs is available), a digital radio with iPOD dock and HDMI cable is also provided for your enjoyment. Whilst configured with the living accommodation at first floor level, each floor also enjoys the benefit of a double bedroom with wardrobes, chairs and side tables, each with their own bathroom access. The open plan kitchen living dining room area at first floor level makes the best of tree laden views over open countryside to the south and north, its like being in the woods! A modern and fully fitted kitchen is provided with double oven and electric hob, fridge with freezer compartment, full sized dishwasher, microwave, four slice toaster, coffee machine, 1.5 stainless steel sink with drainer, a smoothie maker, an electric steamer, tea and coffee, sauces, flour, herbs and spices, cooking and baking equipment as well as all the usual cutlery and crockery and the like. Beverley, Storbritannia

Catwick is one of those unique villages that was mentioned in the Domesday Book and has stayed relatively the same size for the last 600 year or so, undeveloped with mass housing, with a resident population of around 200 people! The Doubly Thankful Village of Catwick enjoys a unique status shared with just 12 other villages throughout the whole of the UK in that it has no War Memorial. Why? Because all the men who went to War in both the First & Second World Wars came back. 30 in the First World War and 30 in the Second World War. This is celebrated with the Catwick Plaque, as unique piece of social history, a photograph of which is displayed in the Cottage. Each man who went to war gave a coin to the resident Blacksmith at the Forge, who nailed it to the Plaque next to the "Lucky" horseshoe. Every man returned alive to continue their lives in the rural community. The Plaque remains as a record of this unique status!
