Rose Cottage does have a very efficient Central Heating System which is operated by the Thermostat in the Dining Room and the Control Panel in the Airing Cupboard in the main Bedroom which is set on timed and a 1 hr booster for both hot water and heating if required. The control Panel is very easy to use and can be turned to constant if required as well as the open fire in the Sitting Room.
I left instructions and also put an extra top up payment on both the Gas and Electric
as it was one of our coldest week ends with Snow in order for you and your family to have enough credit for you to have the heating on maximum if required during your stay.
I am sorry you were unable to use the control panel and only used the hourly boost.
I did receive one missed call from you and I replied immediately. However, with Mobile signals in Appledore especially in cold weather messages do not always get through straight away.
We also suffer with Internet Connection in Appledore especially during bad Weather, I have noted your comments and I will speak to our Internet provider to see if we can increase the signal on our current unlimited wifi service.
Please could you be kind enough to let me know which drawers were broken? and I will address this tomorrow when our Housekeeper will be doing the change over.
I have also noted your comment on the Gas & Electric Top Up Meters and I will make sure that this is clearly mentioned on our details for future guests.
However please note that on your Booking cost of 7 people for 2 nights at £200 was a large Discount on our normal prices and it would be impossible for us to cover the all of the expenses inc change over costs without having top up meters for the Gas & Electric - we did however credit the meters with the standard £15 on each and the extra top up of £20 on each.
We texted you for an extra late check out on the Sunday and we also offerred you an extra nights stay on the Sunday as we had Amber Weather Warnings on the Sunday due to all the Snow.
We do hope you will come and stay with us again at either Rose or one of our other properties and would like to offer you a 10% against any future bookings.
We do apologies for any short comings on our part. However, the day before you arrived we were dealing with a major problem at Rose Cottage as a neighbour doing re-furbs on an adjpoining property cut through main water pipes and we had no Mains Water - we had the Plumber on site at Rose for 5 hours rectifying the problem and getting us back on mains water - this of course took all our attention prior to your arrival.
