There were 2 mountain bikes, one of the guests broke the saddle and since I bought this bicycle from Ireland the bike shop didnt have the right size part so we had to get it welded into place by our local welder, and that’s the reason we did not have the second bike ready during your stay, sorry about that. We have 2 kayaks here, the double one was working (with life vests and paddles), but a guest lost our single kayak’s storage cover at sea and we have another one on order. We apologise for these inconveniences and appreciate your understanding. And the bar was there, nobody in this guest’s group asked for any drinks. We don’t leave any more than 2 deck chairs on the beach now because the locals steal them and they are $100 each,. Most of the time the 2 are adequate. The hammock on the beach is there for your pleasure, but sometimes during high tide on a full moon yes it will get hit by salt water but very rarely, most of the time it is baked by the sun and so mold cannot survive there. I just checked the hammock there and it is in lovely condition, our other guests loved using it both before and after this guest. And yes we have a few different things behind our bar, a grill, a fridge, a lot of books, 3 shelves full of books do you like to read? I don’t think books are nonsense, as you put it. The mattresses are not full of blood, they are a few spatters of varnish. When my painter was in there doing the yearly varnishing, he spattered a little varnish on the mattresses, and the mold, even with new mattresses you will get mold in the rainy season, which is for 6 months of the year. Yes the fan is a little bent, but it is fully functional. It cools well. And you also have a second fan. There may have been some dust in the room because during the dry season some dust comes in from the road. We are on a dead end road with 2 houses after us. Our dogs never bark, 2 sleep with me and 2 are outside so if they were barking they were protecting the property and if you ask any of the guests who stayed the same time as you they will say there was no problem with barking. I am glad this guest did not mind getting awakened by the howler monkeys but apparently this guest had something against dogs. I am not sure what she means by being “blocked” by something from meeting people here. People can meet people if they want, I can’t do anything to stop them. This woman’s group kept to themselves, which is the exception here. This guest certainly did not bring up any of these concerns at the time. I always find that rather cowardly. “Some men look out through prison bars. Some see mud, some see stars”.
