I'm sorry that you were disappointed in your stay at our home in Lake Forest. The main purpose is to accommodate families who come to see their children graduating from the Great Lakes Naval Base, and give them a home setting that is usually quite comfortable and appealing. Having families in and out every Wednesday or Thursday through Sunday or Monday leaves little time for us to maintain a landscaper's dream yard ripe for the local garden society to applaud.
In terms of communication, we let you know that due to an emergency were unable to greet you and your family at the house, which is why Monika sent you a note about this, with the lockbox key code. I can gladly send you the note if needed. I mentioned this to your daughter when she called me, and she said that you either did not look at your messages, or did not see it. Your comment that "Did not have the Code to the Combo box when we arrived" is not only incorrect, but a false statement, and should be corrected to note that the code was sent to you because of the emergency.
Losing your key at Egg Harbor is not our fault, and does not warrant poor communication - We had an appointment that we could not cancel. My apologies that you lost the key, but was glad to hear that it was turned in by the restaurant.
In terms of the air-conditioning, there are a few items to consider. The master bedroom is in "bonus" room. over the garage, and susceptible to warmer/colder conditions than other parts of the house. With access to the entire house, you could have adjusted the temperature, or you could have easily let us know immediately (phone, text, or the AirBnB app) that you were uncomfortable.
We want to make sure that our guests are comfortable and happy, is evidenced by all guests show far who have given us a 5-star rating.
