Set on the 6th floor within the historic wing of the landmark Heritage hotel building with access to the 4.5 star hotel amenities. A recent renovation has retained the character and quality craftsmanship of the 1920s era with polished timber floors, generous ceiling heights and large black steel windows.

We have had a lot of fun redecorating - the deco-inspired contemporary interior is luxurious! The furnishings introduce you to some of my favourite designers - bed linen and cushions from Melbourne's uber-cool Kip and Co; sumptuous velvet elements, quality tap-ware from Australia. You can SELF CATER in the well appointed kitchen with black cabinetry & granite bench-top with the oven and dish drawer by Fisher & Paykel. The small appliances are top notch too - with curvaceous and streamline toaster and kettle from SMEG's pastel coloured range. We have incorporated pops of 1950s colour and furniture. Kick back and relax with a NETFLIX or SKY movie on the SMART TV or soak in the bath of the newly tiled bathroom with a French porcelain tile feature, bespoke vanity with integrated basin & deco-inspired lever taps. A heated towel rail completes the creature comforts. Climate control is taken care of at the touch of a button (air conditioning & central heating) - set it to your preference.

Our 34m squared studio apartment has a really good layout & everything you need for a long or short stay - be it business or play.

The well-equipped kitchen has a brass gooseneck tap, a compact conventional oven and twin hotplate; standard utensils, cooking implements, COFFEE MACHINE, french press, cutlery, glasses and quality crockery. Complimentary PUKKA herbal, green & black teas, REAL coffee and fruit juice. Sparkling water, milk & cereal also provided so you can hit the ground running and make the most of your time in Auckland.

****NOVEMBER SPECIAL: For most of November scaffolding and plastic wrap will cover the windows on the Gorst Lane side of the building to enable the historic facade to be restored. Some drilling of plasterwork is required. WORK IS STRICTLY LIMITED to 8:30am-4:30pm WEEKDAYS ONLY. Noise may be a factor for guests who stay in their apartment during the day. The functionality of the room remains the same and your privacy is assured by the installation of both sheer and block-out roller blinds*****

Access to the indoor & outdoor rooftop pool, two gyms, tennis courts & laundry facilities are shared with other occupants. The shared laundry is located just down the hallway.

Although our apartment is located within a hotel complex it is independently managed by us, the owners. You have full access to the on-site amenities (pool, gym, tennis courts, bar and cafe) but room-service, extra towels and other assistance from the Hotel's concierge, reception or housekeeping staff will not be forthcoming.

Please insure you leave the apartment's access cards on the kitchen bench when you depart. If you accidentally take it and fail to return it within 3 days, you will be charged $50, the cost for replacement and reprogramming of 2 access cards. The same fee will apply for lost cards.

Street parking that is free overnight from 10pm - 8am. There is also a Wilson carpark building on the corner of Hobson Street & Wyndham Street - just 20 metres from the front door of the building, which has a reasonable nightly tariff.

Travel Crib may be available. Please ask at time of booking. There is a car park building located next door to the Heritage on Wyndham St. Overnight parking on adjacent Hobson, Wyndham and Kingston Streets is free.

In making this booking you have read & understood that exterior building work in November may result in intermittent noise during the day on weekdays only.
Report any issues, breakage or damage as soon as they occur.
Please put any dirty dishes in the dishwasher and set it going when you leave.
Do not use acetone based nail-polish remover anywhere near the bench or basin own the bathroom as this will destroy the surface.
Do not tamper with any fire alarm sensors. Take care when cooking not to burn items as this may result in the apartment's fire alarm sounding. Notify reception immediately if you have activated a false alarm to prevent a fire dept call-out. Guests will lose their full security deposit if they are personally liable for a false fire alarm that results in a fire department call-out. The cost of these call-outs is $1400 +GST.
Familiarise yourself with the Emergency Procedures information displayed on the back of the entrance door.

Natalie was a wonderful, attentive host, who was extremely welcoming and friendly. The place is beautifully decorated, and could not be in a better location. Almost anywhere I went in central Auckland was within a ten to fifteen minute walk. A great experience.

I do not live on the premises but I live close-by and will be available for the duration of your stay via text, mobile or Air BnB messages. I have plenty of recommendations for eateries in the neighbourhood and fun activities to do in Auckland.

Like many New Zealanders I caught the travel bug with my first OE (Overseas Experience) to Europe in my early 20s. I have lived in Aspen, Colorado and London but was drawn back to my home country by its natural beauty and laid back lifestyle. I have two beautiful children and in recent times holidays have been family vacations closer to home with Samoa, Bali and Noosa among our favourite destinations. Although I like to head off the beaten track and away from the crowds I also love short stays in multicultural cosmopolitan cities where I can get a fix of contemporary art, cuisine from around the globe & strong coffee.
