This peaceful retreat is surrounded by 100-year old Austrian Pine Trees, deer roaming freely at dusk and dawn, a groundhog who occasionally makes an appearance, and a park consisting of 160+ acres borders with waterfalls, lagoon and geese, fishing, hiking and biking trails.

The entire carriage quarters is yours as well as an elegant backyard space with antique stone columns and benches. Build an outdoor fire and enjoy a complementary bottle of Missouri wine as you overlook the park and lagoon. In the morning enjoy a complimentary bag of locally roasted Mokaska Coffee and explore the secret garden-like property with it's own hiking path or the adjacent park with its miles of hiking and biking trails with two waterfalls.

The owner is a 6th generation resident of St. Joseph. She and her husband can share their knowledge of the history of the City and can direct guests to the best restaurants and activities about town. We also respect guests who prefer privacy. All guests may also privately explore the architectural history of St. Joseph through a complementary copy of the book, Architecture & Early Homes of St. Joseph.
