Clean, private first floor apartment (with enhanced cleaning) in spacious, turn-of-the-century gem of a duplex, with original woodwork, high ceilings and free parking, close to light rails, Nice Ride bikes, U of Minnesota, Augsburg College, and much eclectic food, arts and music. We clean carefully and completely between bookings, with a 24 hour gap between guests.

Stedet
Private first floor in a beautiful, light-filled rehabbed duplex with comfortable queen-size four-poster bed, credenza, a closet, and lovely original artwork on the walls. Private space includes kitchen, full bathroom, study and sitting room. The private first floor of our cozy, spacious family home, built by Norwegian immigrants over 100 years ago, is at the hub of public transportation, education and healing (two colleges, many hospitals, a vibrant arts community), bike trails and the great Mississippi. Come enjoy Minneapolis from this creative heart of the city. The duplex is homey and folksy yet within minutes (by various modes of public transportation) of the city center.

Gjestetilgang
In addition to the comforts of the private master bedroom, guests have access to high-speed wireless internet, and may make coffee, tea or toast in the kitchenette (with toaster, electric teakettle, blender and coffee grinder), the large bathroom with a shower and claw foot tub, and the big study table and sitting room with piano (play softly please), luxurious rugs and cozy throw pillows. Guest may park free directly in front of Heidihouse. This place is a well-loved century-old domestic gem at the hub of a great city.

Andre ting det er verdt å merke seg
Enjoy the original artworks on the walls, created by the homeowner and her artist daughter. Most of the artworks are for sale. Inquire with host.

Cedar-Riverside is a culturally rich, multi-ethnic neighborhood, packed with arts and educational activities "The Electromagnetic Center of the Universe", on the west bank of Mississippi River, and the University of Minnesota campus. Heidihouse was built by Norwegian immigrants who worked for the railroad in the early 1900's, and was saved from demolition by student-activists in the early 1970's, and rehabbed in the early 1980's, and well-cared for by the same handy homeowner for over 30 years.

Author, artist, handy-woman. At Heidihouse we use art as a tool for healing. If you come in season you'll find me out digging in our tiny garden to bring the fruits of my organic farming ancestors to the city.
