In addition to being located on Route 68 of the Foreste Casentinesi National Park, which connects it directly to the Shrine of Camaldoli (9 km by car), Freggina is located in a valley rich in History. Guests can choose from a wide range of itineraries beyond the naturalistic ones such as the Shrines (Camaldoli and La Verna) with the masterpieces of Della Robbia and Castelli (Partina, Poppi, Romena, Porciano and many others).
The area also offers the opportunity to taste a varied local cuisine not only in the many restaurants present but also in the numerous Sagres that enliven every year the casentinese summer together with a rich program of events (theater, concerts and more).
Not to be missed is its proximity to important art cities such as Florence (66 km) and Arezzo (42 km) and, for motorcyclists and cyclists, the fun of the beautiful mountain passes of the area. "Mountain bikers" will also have access to an unlimited list of enchanting trails.
Families can walk through the comfortable, flat and shaded "Vie dei Castagni", which border the Arno river and its tributaries Archiano and Teggina.
