Cute little private beach cottage/studio with access to a pool in a very relaxing setting only about 15 minutes by car from East Beach and the St Simons pier. Access also to Sea Island through the host which is only 5-7 minutes away
This is an efficiency apartment, so, there is a small fridge with a freezer, a microwave and a coffee-maker. There is an outdoor grill for cooking as well. You will have a private access to the efficiency and your own parking area. It is actually detached from the main house. And you will have use of the pool. A door from the efficiency opens on to it. There is a full-size futon bed as well as a pull out love seat perfect for one or two small children or one adult.

There are fishing and kayaking possibilities nearby at Village Creek Landing and we have kayaks we could let you use as well as bikes if you need them. We could also be available to take you out on kayaking trips on the island for a small fee as we've been going for about 7 years now.
If bringing small children under 12, I would need for you to sign a letter of liability because of the pool.
I can be as available as you want me to be and as my time permits. I can also leave you to your privacy when needed (as far as the use of the pool,) but may share it when I'm there if that is okay with you! As soon as school starts in August, I will not be around so much, but can have someone there within minutes if you need anything.
After care-giving my mom in her home off the Ga. Coast for the last 6 years of her life, I decided to stay because I love it down here...the beach, the ocean, the sunrises and sunsets, kayaking, biking, fishing, boating and turtle-watching are among a few of the things I enjoy here as well as working out at a Crossfit gym and shag dancing on Thursday nights and enjoying Taco Tuesdays with friends. So, I sold my house in Thomaston, Ga. and bought a house with a pool on St Simon's Island in a quiet neighborhood which has a cute little efficiency that I am now ready to rent out.
I also love to travel and and do so every chance I get. I have stayed in Airbnb's in France, Croatia and Florida and plan to stay in others each time I travel. It's a great way to meet people and learn about their culture. I lived in France for 18 years, so, speak French fluently and some Italian having lived there 2 years as well. I love an adventure and would love to hear about yours, too!
As far as a host, I live in the main house which is attached to the efficiency is, but am not there all the time. In fact, in the future (if I get the urge to travel again) I will rent it out as well. I have 4 kids and 7 grand-kids who live in different parts of the U.S so, enjoy spending time with them when I can. I will always be available by phone if you need anything however.
My life motto is, "Live, laugh, love" and appreciate the people in your life while you have them...we never know how long that may be.
