Latille Irie Cabin is a wooden cabin, that is very typical for the Caribbean, situated at the garden of Latille Waterfalls. The cabin consists of a living space with two hammocks and a kitchen corner, a 2p-bedroom and toilet. Outside is a private space with a bath tub. The cabin is unique in its design and location. Guests can enjoy all inclusive of the garden with fruit trees and herbs, pedicure fish pond and the waterfall, which is perfect as a refreshing morning bath. Meals can be arranged.

Stedet
This original wooden cabin is made according the old Carib-Arawak building craft, called 'paowisade' . The wood is braided, therefore the wind is always keeping the place fresh, even during the hottest moments of the day. When you enter the place, you feel immediately the peace and tranquility that is expired by the sound of the waterfall and the wind in the trees.
'Latille' means ABUNDANCE. Therefore the cabin is a perfect place to unwire and unwind completely and enjoy the abundance of nature and to experience how it is to live 'Off the grid'. Nothing is a must, everything is possible. Taking an early morning shower, going for a good rain forest walk or even a bike ride and then ending up the day resting in your hammock is like a meditation and full recovery. You will feel completely at peace. It's like a safe island on the island.

The owner of Latille Waterfalls, John Joseph, is an experienced agriculturalist and environmentalist. He generates his own electricity from the waterfall. John is very willing to inform and give a short lecture about the site and the fruit and trees that are growing there. A specialty is the local juices, like lemon grass, tamarind, cashew. John also makes his favorite roti's. John stands for peace and unity with the environment around us and his mission is to show how we can live off the grid. There is also the possibility to put up a tent at the back of the garden, where there is a wonderful view on the valley of Mahaut.

Gjestetilgang
The guests are free to access the waterfalls and the garden with the fish pond. There is also the possibility for a hike along the river upstream to the waterfall or downstream, where you can also jump into the dam.

Andre ting det er verdt å merke seg
Organic farming
At Latille an organic farming project just recently has started. Guests can contribute to the farm as a leisure activity or spiritual retreat. Meals will be served for free when the guests work at the farm.

Fish pond
Guests can take a foot pedicure in the fish pond for free. The tilapia fish will nibble your feet, which is first tiggling, but will give afterwards a very relaxed feeling to possible tired feet after a nice hike.

Vegetarian/Irie Meals
Breakfast/lunch/dinner are provided on request. John and his son Atta are pleased to make a typical St. Lucian meal for you against a small fee.

For total independence we recommend guests to rent a car. The cabin is situated 1 mile from the highway. The more adventurous can use the local bus system. Mini Buses are reliable.
