Our place provides guests with a retro-cozy-comfy experience! We are ideal for families, couples, solo adventurers, professionals, transit travellers, and small or large groups. We are located close to the Hospital, Charles Sturt University, CBD, sporting venues, and the world renowned Mt. Panorama.
Feel right at home in this beautifully restored 1930's Art Deco style character home. The mix of old and new can be enjoyed with all the modern day comforts featured throughout the property.
The Yellow Door Guesthouse has installed a beautiful, brand new Braemar gas ducted heating system, with ducts to all three bedrooms/kitchen/dining/front living space. The back living space has it's own Rinnai gas heater. We have also added fleecy, fitted electric blankets to two of the queen beds, with heated electric throws for the third queen bed and double bed. This will be exceptionally cozy for the cooler months in Bathurst.
The guesthouse offers retro style and comfort to people wanting to explore the beautiful region of Bathurst. There are many local recommendations which can be offered to make your trip unique, and some of these can be located under our 'Guidebook' on this Airbnb page or by requesting additional information before or during your stay.
Whether you're visiting for a special occasion, sight-seeing, work, study, or sporting events you may appreciate the convenience of being able to prepare your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen, or take advantage of the front loading washing machine (with a full sized pull out clothes line located undercover of the outdoor entertainment area).
The two bathrooms feature a shower in each (as well as a bath in the main) the generous continuous gas hot water system is very beneficial particularly catering for larger groups. The two separate living spaces are perfect for accommodating large families, multiple families, or professionals travelling together.
The large outdoor entertaining space provides guests with gorgeous afternoon sun, and there is a full sized BBQ just waiting to be used.
Tilgang for gjester
Guests are able to enjoy all areas of the guesthouse, and there is a trampoline and play set located in a rear grassed area in the yard which children are welcome to use (with supervision ).
Many guests like to park their car directly out the front of the guesthouse, as there is a wide street and concrete pathway which leads directly from the road to the front door. Alternatively, please let us know if you'd prefer off-street parking and we will ensure the driveway at our place is clear for your stay. The driveway would be situated closer to the front door of the guesthouse and may be a good option for guests travelling with additional luggage, or guests who need to avoid small walks uphill.
We also have a 'Lock Box' available for flexible arrival times, please let us know if this is your preferred method of key collection and we will send you information for the Lock Box prior to your arrival.

My husband, Ben and I have grown up in Bathurst and we are very fond of everything the area has to offer.
We really enjoy eating out and relaxing at the bar, we can make many local recommendations if you are looking to try something new.
We both work in the Community Welfare Sector, however we have had extensive experience working in the Hospitality and Building Industries prior to completing our studies at Charles Sturt University. In drawing on our previous work experiences, we are excited to be able to meet and greet new guests in a relaxed, personalised, and well maintained environment.
We have recently built a home on a block of land next door to The Yellow Door Guesthouse. We really enjoyed living in our old character style home for many years before we made the move next door, and we look forward to returning back to our original home once our children decide to flee the coupe.
We are warm and welcoming people, and will be available if you need any assistance during your stay.
