Beautiful spacious home and perennial garden. Plenty of amenities, and a creek, field, and forest. Close to Ithaca, Cortland, Owego, and Greek Peak. Our back yard connects with over 100 acres of woods with wildlife, views, hiking trails and adjacent Finger Lakes Land Trust preserve. Walking distance to East Branch Owego Creek, a prime fishing spot. You’ll love the charming rooms, high ceilings, beautiful yard and outdoor spaces. Our house is good for couples, families (with kids), and groups.
The house has two large living/great rooms with huge windows and lots of light, greenhouse, patio and porches. We have a gas grill available for your use on the patio and quite a few porch and garden chairs. There are lots of bird feeders in the garden (they might need to be filled but seed is available in the birdseed shed (key provided). Our pool is a small, private, in-ground pool, and we try to keep it available June - August.

Sometimes we are in the area. If not, we are available by phone and have a local contact who can help in our absence if there are any issues with the house.

You will get access via the front door (smart phone and/or code access). Keys to the pool gate, garage, and birdseed shed and house doors provided. We ask that you please remember to lock everything behind you when you are not there and make sure to leave the keys for us when you leave. We have two pairs of adult snowshoes and 2 pairs of children's (not toddler) snowshoes available for your use.
Small gatherings allowed. Please be respectful of neighbors (keep noise down).
Regarding very young children (0-3) we are happy for you to bring your children if you are comfortable with the space. There are a lot of stairs in the house and a (fenced) pool in the garden so they need supervision inside and outside. We do not yet have enough stair gates for top and bottom of all stairs.

We love Richford because it is such a cute town surrounded by beautiful hills. If you stay in our farmhouse you will be able to roam the paths of 100+ acres of the hill behind. Our property backs onto a Finger Lakes Land Trust preserve that you can also hike in. We try to leave dry goods and supplies for you and ask that if you stay a week or more that you replenish supplies as necessary. This helps us keep it nice for the next person! We hope you will feel welcome in our home and enjoy the garden and surroundings too.
