Sea-esta is a generous sized room with an en suite. It has it's own courtyard entrance and is across the road from the beach. It is sunny and it is so fabulous to be able to go to sleep to the sound of the ocean after having enjoyed a sunset and a meal at one of our local eateries all within walking distance. It is equipped with a small fridge, a toaster, electric jug and coffee plunger. Ideally suited to one or two people. Other options can be discussed.

If I'm here I often offer the guest(s) of this room to join me for dinner at no extra charge. Don't hesitate to turn this down if you want your space. Monday to Wednesday has limited nighttime eating options.

There is very limited grocery shopping available. There is the Piha store but unfortunately very expensive so I would recommend you buy any food supplies at a supermarket in town before coming to Piha. I can also do a grocery run for you if it is too daunting to stop at a supermarket after a long flight. Just make that request when booking along with the list of items required
The bed is king size that can be split into two singles. Just let me know if this is required. There is a portacot available along with a baby monitor. Stretchers are also available for additional bedding of required. Just state your requirements when you book

I am an IT consultant who lives in Piha New Zealand. I moved here permanently 5 years ago after using it as a weekend place for the previous 10 years. I never tire of it's beauty. Waking to the sound of the sea and our native Tui birds singing is something I will never take for granted. One of the things I love about this place is the ability to share it with others. I often host my friends from Auckland and other parts of the world. It is not uncommon to find us around beautiful food and guitars as the sun goes down. I am confident any guests of this place will leave with a sense of longing to return.
