Thank you for your reflections. I find it a little hard to handle that everything you state surrounds your wonderful baby who you explained was temperamental. I have raised two children here one from the age of 9 months, and I assure you that when they where as little, they did not have the comforts that I provided you. Especially no swimming pool, as I had just started rebuilding the place, we didn’t even have a pleasant 4 x 4 to ride about in. I have also had over the years about 20 families with babies who have never commented in the same way. Mostly I received compliments about how well equipped I was for babies and small children : toys, dvds, special music, potty, high chair, changing mat, cot, playpen (that is also used as a barrier for the 3 steps), bibs, small books, and even spare nappies! The swimming pool was 27C when you were here as I check it every morning so I find it hard to accept that this is “so fresh” . I also clearly explain that Galileo is 10 minutes down a country track, even showing pictures of the track and 4 x 4. I also make this a condition of the stay. Living in the deep countryside includes accepting that you share it with all other living things including flies. This year there hasn’t been that many so I do not understand how this could spoil your stay, unless you left the door open with exposed food? For myself who was in the central house I had none and I left the door open. Ultimately you indicate that this is a really nice place maybe it just wasn’t the right time for your family to explore such tranquility and maybe this and the heat was why your son reacted coming from a town and cooler place. I hope that all goes well for you in the future and I would have been much happier if you had been happier, something that I strive to do.
