At walking distance from the residence you can visit historic sites of Rethymno (Rimondi fountain, mosques, old churches, Venetian houses), wander around the stone paved alleys of the old town, discover romantic cafes and the finest restaurants in town.

Great for walkers and animal lovers, this accommodation is part of a former "Kafenion", situated in the heart of a traditional Cretan village in the hills. Nearby is the pretty and bustling town of Spili, with its tavernas, shops, pharmacy, health centre and post office. Prices from €35 (spring and autumn) to €40 including a basic breakfast. The WiFi only works outside. Loving dogs and cats is essential, if you wish to stay here, as I have 4 dogs and several cats. . Having a car is essential.

The boutique style interior opens up to large terraces for dining and relaxation. The ensuite shower room leads out from the calming bedroom to the private plunge pool, which is 2m by 4m in size. The pool can be heated with prior request. The cottage nestles between mature olive trees in an acre of beautiful Cretan countryside and is secluded from the main house.
