Kilchoman Apartment

A perfect holiday bolt hole for a solo traveller or couple. Return after a day exploring Islay to a wonderfully comfortable and welcoming home. 1 double room, sleeps 2. The apartment is open plan over two levels. On the ground floor there is a spacious living and dining area with stylish furnishings, comfortable sofas and tall windows that let the morning light stream in. The modern kitchen, looking out onto open countryside is compact yet superbly equipped and there's a bathroom perfect for a long soak in the bath after a day's beach-combing. The upper floor comprises a bright double bedroom with an incredibly comfortable kingsize bed on a gallery level, with en-suite facilities including a shower.

Beautiful 5 bedroom bungalow in Bruichladdich

Beautiful 10 person modern bungalow in Bruichladdich situated directly beside Loch Indaal with stunning views. Called Failte, Gaelic for Welcome, the house has recently been completely refurbished and modernised to create a stunning 5 bedroom property (3 superking rooms (each superking bed can be unzipped into 2 singles) and 2 twin rooms). 2 shower rooms with power showers plus a third WC. Well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. Spacious with great view. TV, freeview box, fibre broadband.

Bridge House Port Charlotte Islay

Basic accommodation on 1 level. No outdoor space. You can sit at beach c100 metres. Walking distance hotels, shop, bus stop. Beach c30 metres. Not set up for infants. Cost for two. Extra guests small fee. 2 bed room in the Youth Hostel similar cost. Linen and towels supplied. No wifi. Short letting window and higher costs. If you do not have your own dongle or account wifi is available in a number of places in the village. TIP Check ferry availability and insurance coverage.

Beautiful granny flat with sea views, terrace, well-equipped kitchen and en-suite bathroom for up to 3 people. Unfortunately not suitable for dogs and small children. A further 3 rooms located in the main house can be additionally booked on Airbnb, also to provide a second bathroom. Please let me know via Airbnb Messenger who will be arriving and when so I can prepare the rooms. The sofa bed is a “small double” (1.20 m wide) and only suitable for one person, skinny couples or 2 children.

Pier House

Pier House is beautifully located with stunning views. A huge lounge with Juliette balcony. The house is presented over 2 floors with the living room on the upper floor to maximise the exceptional vista. The house has all modern facilities and comes well equipped and presented. There are 4 bedrooms, a main bathroom, a separate wc and the master bedroom is complete with its own en-suite and shower. The property is on the edge of the beach and next to the pier, utterly perfectly located.

The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. There are 2 double beds and 2 bunk bedrooms (if you’re a party of single adults then 4 is the maximum number). Views are stunning and Islay’s great for whisky, wildlife or just rest and relaxation. Octomore Distillery Cottage

The Cottage is located on a working farm overlooking the beautiful village of Port Charlotte. Enjoy a relaxing stay with panoramic views across the Lochindaal surrounded by fields of barley and Highland cows. The recently renovated cottage was the original Octomore distillery which was operational from 1816 - 1852. A short scenic walk to the village of Port Charlotte where there is a local shop and pubs/restaurants. The village of Bruichladdich is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk.

Portbahn was our family home before moving to Jura, and we hope you'll find it as welcoming as we did. A 20 minute walk along the Lochindaal coastal path connects the neighbouring village of Bruichladdich, where you can enjoy a local coffee stop or experience a whisky tasting and tour at Bruichladdich Distillery.
