Located about 20 minutes from the Ark Encounter, our Gopher Wood Getaway cabin offers a rustic and picturesque place for families to stay near the Ark. Enjoy 500 sq ft of living space inside the cabin that includes a fully equipped kitchen, a bunk room and full bathroom. Our cabin has heating, AC and electric over looking 84 acres of Kentucky Bluegrass. NOTE: Our cabins are truly a GETAWAY as we do NOT have any wi-fi or TV in them. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The back patio provides gorgeous sunsets and wildlife views. The house is on a hobby farm with cows and horses that we ask visitors not to feed. There is a pull out couch that makes a full size bed as well. It is located in central Ky with easy access to Cincy, Lexington, Louisville, Frankfort,Georgetown etc…This is in a country setting which is very quiet and peaceful. The house has a ramp for wheel chair accessibility.

The Cute Little House Near The Ark Encounter

The "Little House" is a cute 1 bedroom house located on our farm in a beautiful country setting with 6 acres of outdoor space for relaxing. It is separate from our home and is all yours. It is conveniently located only 8 miles from the Ark Encounter and you only need to make one turn to get there. We have chickens, ducks, turkeys, a horse, and 11 goats. We also have a 1/2 mile nature trail to explore with a scavenger hunt, and a campfire spot with free firewood.
