The accommodation is set amongst Paperbark trees (once part of the surrounding Tomaree national park), a short stroll from the crystal waters of One Mile beach. A luxury cottage with two bedrooms, fully self contained, Resort/Tropical setting that sleeps up to to 4 people. A Bunkhouse (no a/c, fan only) with pool table, Darts, entertainment system and a bunkroom that sleeps up to 5 people. Ideal for large groups or two families with teenagers. Surfside is not suited for young children.

This suite is all brand new (2023 construction) and has open plan lounge and dining area, ensuite, walk-in robe and expansive terrace. Kitchen facilities include sink, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave. Street parking is available out front. Centrally located 5 mins drive to Salamander Bay Shopping Centre and 5 mins to Nelson Bay Marina.

2 Bedroom Bottlebrush Cabin

Our 2 Bedroom Bottlebrush Cabins sleep up to six guests, with a queen bed in the main bedroom and two bunks in the second bedroom, as well as a bathroom with separate toilet, kitchen, living area, and a private deck. This cabin is pet friendly. There is an additional charge of $15 per pet, per night payable on arrival. Please contact the park directly for details on the pet policy. The Cabin sleeps up to 6 guests: maximum 4 adults, with remaining guests being children aged 12 and under.

The Bird House: gardens, wildlife, peace & beaches

Set on a leafy 2-acre block that's only 4 minutes drive from One Mile Beach, the Bird House is a comfy, freshly renovated home that offers multiple indoor and outdoor living areas, 4 bedrooms, hammock, BBQ, Wifi, XBox and board games. The house is fenced off from the rest of the block, so you have your own private, family-friendly gardens front and back. These are surrounded by wild gardens and the national park, providing a tranquil haven that attracts birds and other wildlife.

Swimmers Rest is a retro, colourful beach house harking back to childhood holidays by the sea, but with modern comfortable amenities. The house has two indoor living areas, three outdoor zones, high ceilings, lots of light & has been thoughtfully & sustainably decorated. It has easy access to stunning beaches and great bushwalks.
