Escape to Thistle Pond Cottage, a peaceful coastal retreat in southern Maine. Nestled on 2 acres with pond views, lush gardens, and local wildlife, it’s minutes from beaches and Portland. Every stay begins with homemade bread from our kitchen and thoughtful, locally sourced welcome accompaniments. Weather and seasonal permitting, guests may occasionally savor a host-prepared wood-fired pizza made with fresh garden ingredients. Cozy, bright, and full of garden-to-table charm and seasonal delight.

The Pine Grove

Newly rebuilt - the Pine Grove is air conditioned and features a 10 by 14 ft deck, a brand new bathroom with tub, bedroom closets, and a full kitchen. It is one half of two charming rustic cottages set on a single plot on a leafy side-street. This cottage is wedged in a "grove" of tall majestic pine trees that provide an abundant supply of shade and breeze, pine cones, needles and all. It is great for families with children and a short walk (.4 of a mile) through the neighborhood to the beach.

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is surrounded by tall pines and greenery and has a peaceful screened in front porch, with an outside space and fire pit, perfect for sitting back and relaxing with a glass of wine in hand or locally crafted beer. This space is located on a quiet street, just off the beaten path of Route 1 in Wells. About a mile from Wells Beach, walking distance to several restaurants; Mike's Clam Shack, Varano’s, The Steak House and Congdon's to name a few popular favorites.

3 night Min. stay 6/1 to Labor day. Cottage #2 is a classic one-bedroom with soothing beach colors and well-appointed with comfortable furnishings and updated finishes. It is outfitted with vintage and modern decor mixed in. The cottage has a fully stocked kitchen with pots and pans and utensils for those times when you may just want to stay in and cook. Private fenced backyard with a gas grill, table and chairs. Just a short 5-minute walk, to the beach. Yes we allow pets.
