The Stables - Tunstead Cottages Enjoy the peace of the Norfolk countryside. Our rural, dog friendly cottage on the outskirts of Tunstead. Close to the Norfolk Broads and the coast, yet only 30 minutes from the city of Norwich. The Stables is on an old farm on the outskirts of Tunstead village. In a peaceful part of rural Norfolk with views of the big Norfolk skies, farmland and fruit fields. Cottages have a pool but its on private hire and booking is separate also has a shared games room.

Whether enjoying the fully private heated swimming pool (ONLY AVAILABLE 11th May-28 Sept 2026) or cosy log burner in winter, The Hideaway is the ideal place to relax and unwind. 15 minutes drive to the North Norfolk beaches of Holkham and Wells-Next-The-Sea. Sandringham is also nearby. Fakenham is a mile for shops and the acclaimed Sculthorpe Mill a short walk away.

Space for everyone to spread out. Outside there is a BBQ with room to eat and to sit and chat. Relax in the hot tub with a glass. Plenty of room at our massive table for Sunday lunch inside. In addition have fun on the long sandy beach (4 min walk away). Excellent for dogs too. The house sleeps 11 plus 2 babies (I supply 2 travel cots, 2 high chairs and stair gates). You’ll have 5 large bedrooms, kitchen, breakfast room,sitting/dining room, garden, hot tub, own parking. Restaurants, pubs nearby.
