The property offers a peaceful stay in a quiet residential area of Newport that borders a nature reserve, with the added benefit of having great transport links and also being within walking distance of the city centre/train station. This gives easy access to popular local destinations such as the ICC in Newport and the Principality stadium in Cardiff. Key amenities include off-street parking, access to an EV charger and fibre broadband. Note, a quiet hours policy operates from 22.00 to 07.00.

Breakfast basics are included with fresh eggs from our hens when available Please be aware that this is only accessible by a single tarmac track that winds up the mountain. Access in the winter can be limited.

The Bailey: A countryside annexe at The Forge

The Bailey is a self-contained studio annexe with a private entrance at The Forge Lower Machen. With double bed, shower room, two comfy armchairs, dining area for two, outside seating area for two, wardrobe, flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, kettle, toaster, small fridge and microwave. Travel cot available by request. Parking on site. Towels and bed linen provided. Situated just off the A468, very convenient but some noise from the road.

Modern, light and homely annex on private land with gated parking situated in a lovely little village called Magor. The village shops, restaurants and pubs are a short five minute stroll away and are well worth a visit. Magor has fantastic links being 2 minutes from the M4. We are approx 30 minutes to centre of Bristol and 30 minutes to Cardiff, 20 minutes to centre of Newport and 10 minutes to the Celtic Manor Resort and ICC.
