Cozy Woodland Cabin

If you seek rustic solitude, you'll love the cozy woodland cabin, a pine-paneled one-room cabin nestled in a meadow surrounded by forest and fields, +/- 2 blocks from the house and road. Weather permitting, vehicles can drive to the cabin. Cabin has electricity and heat, but NO running water. Outhouse behind cabin has a Nature's Head composting toilet. Guests may shower in a private bathroom in the main house. Breakfast included. This is "glamping" at its most comfortable and private.

The house is located on a dead end road where walking trails surround you. Lempster Long Pond is just six miles away. You can enjoy kayaking, swimming and fishing at the pond. Also enjoy views of the windmills that sit atop Lempster Mountain. Twelve miles from Mount Sunapee. Twenty six miles to Keene, NH. Thirty six mile to Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Swiss Chalet Family Retreat!

Welcome to our family's Swiss style chalet! Inspired by trips to Davos, Switzerland, my grandparents built the chalet in the 1950s to be a family playhouse and gathering spot for their 6 children. It's kind of magical. Today, our large extended family still enjoys holiday celebrations here every year. Our kids love exploring the woodland trails and swimming in Center Pond. We hope you love it as much as we do! Note: the building also has two apartments on the first floor.
