Heron's Nest is a secluded waterfront home with a private dock on the quiet side of Long Pond, facing land on the opposite shore that is owned and protected by the National Park. The main room has a cathedral ceiling with skylights and an expanse of floor to ceiling windows affording spectacular views of the water. This single-level house sleeps 6, with 3 bedrooms, and 3 full bathrooms. The house has been modified for aging-in-place. Minutes to Acadia entrances, hiking, biking, dining, shopping.

Peaceful & pet friendly acre near Acadia in natural, wooded setting. Fast WiFi, view to Ripples Pond (a wildlife sanctuary), & fenced in backyard. Big 1 bed cottage has comfy King mattress + 2 sleeper futons. The Cabin (only open May 1-Oct 31) has kitchenette, bathroom & Queen bed. A backyard path to hammock & chill spot by Ripples (view only, but 1/2 mile away is Long Pond for swimming, canoe/kayak rental). Grill. Firepit. Tranquility! NOTE: Cabin open May-Oct + has ceiling+box fans but no A/C

Osprey Cove is a unique vertically built home that has fantastic views of the top of Somes Sound. A dock, firepit & gazebo are available for use and are shared with the neighboring unit, which are always a guest favorite! However, we encourage your to venture into the mountains, walk or ride the carriage roads, kayak, take an ocean or fresh water swim or spend a day visiting neighboring islands--there is a multitude of options, for all ages, on Mount Desert Island Maine.

The Arthaus, an eclectic retreat for two

Located on Mount Desert Islands, "Quietside". The cottage features high ceilings and an open floor plan, with a small deck looking into the woods The walls are decorated with original art work by the owner. Our location is central to the island, situated just outside the village of Somesville; 15 minutes to Bar Harbor, 10 minutes to Southwest Harbor by car. Hiking and swimming opportunities are just 5 minutes away by car. The Arthaus is not suitable for pets, despite our love for them.

A piece of paradise on Mount Desert Island, located on a beautiful swimming lake on 20 acres on the island's quietside. Near to the best lobster pound. Great fishing and canoeing on the lake. House is a renovated old farm house. Non-bed sleeping pets welcome. Great for families who appreciate Acadia. We share a beach with 1 family, so please be courteous!
