1880s Miner’s Cottage in Moonta Mines – Heritage

Step back in time at this 1880s miner’s cottage in historic Moonta Mines. Built over 140 years ago and extended in the early 1900s by the man who built many Yorke Peninsula roads, it still features the dining room, kitchen and bathroom he added. Lovingly owned for 12+ years and renovated twice, the cottage blends original stone walls and low doorways with modern comforts, a cozy wood fire, a well-equipped indoor & outdoor kitchen, and a big backyard perfect for BBQs under the dark night stars.

The back yard bosts has an awesome Alfrasco BBQ area nestled amongst the old stone fence and paved with old red bricks where you can comfortably seat 10 secluded in the large fully lawned surrounds. Classic on Clayton is an original 1970's beach shack that has recently been brought into the 21st century with all the mod cons you could need for a beach holiday but keeping the charm and some of the original furniture of the era in which it was built. This is a relaxed family beach house, suitable for all generations to holiday together. Located a short stroll to the beach or drive around the corner to be able to drive straight onto the beach so you can setup for the day.
