Bristol has several very good restaurants, shops, an art gallery and a library. You'll find hiking, biking trails and swimming. Middlebury is 15 min away and offers art galleries, breweries, a winery, shops, restaurants, hiking, skiing and more. Burlington is 45 min away, Sugarbush & Mad River Glen ski areas are just 30 min away. Lots to do!

This Monkton, VT library cottage was once home to adventures, fairy tales, comics, mysteries and fiction. It has recently been transformed into a welcoming space for travelers to call their home away from home. Centrally located between Burlington and Middlebury, within walking distance to a coffee/bake shop on wheels. Enjoy breathtaking sunrises over Camel’s Hump and sunsets over the Adirondacks. Nearby local restaurants, hikes, skiing, fishing and mountain biking. We are eco friendly.

Badger Cottage offers a true rustic Vermont experience nestled in the woods with spectacular views and a quiet and peaceful ambiance. Once a barn, carefully reconstructed on the owners’ property, and modernized to today’s standards, this post and beam cabin is warm and cosy in winter and cool in summer. Well behaved dogs are very welcome and will enjoy the walks in the woods. Covid vaccinations are required. The owners live in an adjacent house with their very friendly Border Terrier

Much to explore- visit local farms & apple orchards, great hikes and Lake Champlain, breweries and wineries.
