The Coach House

This expertly refurbished 19th-century Coach House is full of character and all ready for your luxurious relaxing break. The open-plan living area has a exceptional view, and when you want a change there's a large smart TV and good-quality broadband for entertainment. The kitchen comes with induction hob and oven, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as all the pots, pans & utensils you need for cooking up delicious meals. The shower room/toilet is conveniently tucked away in a corner. Walk up the distinctive oak staircase to find the upstairs bedroom, with its impressive round window. It sleeps up to three people in a kingsize double bed and a separate single, and there's also room for a travel cot for an infant.The Coach House is ideal for a couple on a romantic escape, or for a family with young children looking for a safe space to relax and play. The Granary is a detached, self catering stone built character countryside / rural cottage, believed to be over 300 years old. It is converted from a former dairy and grain store, and retains many original features which gives this spacious king size sleigh bedded cottage a romantic feel. It is surrounded by countryside and woodland and indeed the Gloucestershire Way runs right by the door as well as the Wysis Way and there are many Forest countryside walks available directly from the cottage.

Here In the beautiful Forest of Dean, we are so fortunate to have thousands of acres of forest nestled between the Wye Valley AONB and the Severn Estuary. It’s a special place with a rich history, scenic landscapes, friendly people and many outdoor pursuits. Forest View Cabin is perfectly placed for exploring. At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, it’s a peaceful hillside location set in a half-acre garden at the Old Cottage. The log style cabin enjoys panoramic views of the woods and garden.

Our cottage is a charming converted stone stable. Unwind beneath oak beams or relax in the oak framed west-facing sunroom - perfect for relaxing on the rare 4 seater 'Bishops Pew' after exploring the Forest. Ruardean is the birthplace of ‘Horlicks’ and the ‘Who Killed The Bears’ mystery. It is an ideal Forest & Wye Valley base with a shared garden, secure bike storage, and parking (EVC available). On the edge of The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, this cosy getaway is a professionally converted and exquisitely decorated annex to our main property. This conversion was completed in 2022. PLEASE NOTE... You are welcome to use the woodburner during the summer months (May - Sept inclusive) but I do not supply firewood during this period. Please bring your own supplies of firelighters, kindling and logs if you would like an inside fire during the summer.
