Eco loft overlooking garden and stream

This artist and architect-designed house is clad in larch and well insulated with wool felts. The access to the separate loft of our eco-house is via an external staircase. A large south facing window in the main room overlooks the front garden and Shiplaw burn. There is a separate workspace/single bedroom for an extra guest. We are located within one of the biggest habitat restoration projects in Europe and are five minutes walk from a regular bus service to Edinburgh and across the Borders.

The Garden Bothy is a charming, detached cottage that sits within the grounds of Preston Hall Estate, just 12 miles from Edinburgh city centre. Within the estate there are 250 acres of managed woodland to explore, many scenic walks to be had along the banks of the Tyne Water that borders the estate.
