Sip your first cup of coffee on the spacious screened in porch. Bring your charcoal to grill. Enjoy an outdoor fire (we supply the wood). Well equipped kitchen is begging to be used. Rollaway beds in the closets. Sofabed in great room. Washer, Dryer are available for your use. We are only 10 minutes from I-77 and I-81 freeway. Innkeepers live on site.

New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

Barn House

Ready for a rustic getaway? Our unique rental is located in a working horse barn and wedding venue in the peace and quiet of the country, and less than 5 minutes from I-77! Enjoy your morning coffee on our porch overlooking the rolling hills and pasture fields. Horses do not live in the barn anymore, but in our pasture surrounding the barn. You can enjoy morning or evening walks around the hay field or with a short drive get to the river or new river trail for some outdoor activities!

Waterfront cabin located where New River meets Claytor Lake. The location is perfect for all types of water activities including boating, jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing, tubing and fishing. Home has a boat dock and access to boat ramp on the property. Large, flat yard is perfect for gatherings and outdoor activities. Large covered porch with ample seating and table space. Located directly across the water from Allisonia boat ramp and New River Trail. New WiFi provider.

The Carriage House

Second story living quarters with everything you need for a delightful stay. Kitchen is stocked with cooking/dining and coffee supplies.. Enchanted cozy cabin " Whispering Pines " located 5 minutes off I-77 in Bland, Va. Our cabin is located on 8 acres of property and full of various types of wildlife. Sometimes, you will see bear, deer, wild turkey, and squirrels. We also live on the property, but the cabin is private and tucked away within the beautiful whispering pines.
