The Little Engine House Beautiful and Private!

Relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire and stay in a little piece of history, a coverted pump house that supplied a Victorian spa hotel. Matlock is beautiful with plenty of places to eat and drink. All year round Matlock has plenty to offer with beautiful walks and stately homes nearby. The Little Engine House is less than a mile from the town centre and Lumsdale Falls is walkable from the property so you don't need to get in a car to enjoy the delights of the immediate area.

The cottage was once a Pigeon loft and has been transformed and renovated into a simple characterful living space within the conservation area. Views from the cottage and outside private terrace are stunning. There are choices of walks from the door including 2 pubs and cafe within easy walking distance.

Fox Cottage is easy to access by car, train or bus via Matlock. Located on the edge of The Peak District, natural beauty is in every direction. Two great food pubs within easy walk. There is so much to see and do nearby. Gardens, industrial heritage sites, stately homes, outdoor activities, ancient sites, river promenades. Something for everyone and every season.
