Mary went above and beyond to accommodate The cabin is adorable with lots of nice touches, and the outdoors areas are simply amazing. The closet kitchen is well supplied . We actually cooked all but two meals during our week-long stay. The bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend "The Bear's Den" for your stay in the Franklin, NC area.

Comfy Creek Side Cottage In Town; Perfect For Two

This tastefully decorated small cottage is conveniently located just three blocks to downtown Highlands. Just a 10-12 minute walk to the shops and restaurants on Main Street. Also within walking distance is The Botanical Gardens, Sunset Rock, and Kelsey-Hutchinson Park. There are several trails directly accessible from the doorsteps of this creek side sweet spot. All new furnishings including queen sized Sealy Posturepedic Cushion Firm mattress, all cotton linen, and outdoor furniture on deck.

Cozy Tiny Home in the Mountains with a Creek

Travelers, explorers, and nature lovers can reconnect with the outdoors at this minimalist mountain cabin. Located in Franklin, NC, the Appalachian Tiny Home (the ATH) is an ideal base camp for every adventure, and is only 20 min. from the Nantahala nat'l forest. This tiny home has its own entrance as well as a deck, fire pit and fully-stocked wood shed. The nearby spring is a short walk down the hill, and it's the perfect place for foraging and rockhounding in the gem capital of the world.

Mateo 39D at Nantahala Weddings & Events - no pets

The Mateos (named after our architect’s little son) are 4 small and separate bungalows with eye-popping views of Lake Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains through an 8-foot sliding glass door. Each Mateo has a queen size bed, private bath, ac/heat, and a kitchenette with a Keurig coffeemaker, 4.4 cu. ft. refrigerator with freezer, air fryer, microwave, tableware, and glassware for two people. The Mateos are not handicap-accessible. Pets are never allowed – this is a pet-free space ($200 penalty).

Snug Cabin by Lake Glenville

245 square foot tiny house located in Glenville, NC! 2.5 miles from public access to Lake Glenville, 5 miles from Cashiers, and 1.5 miles from Sawyer Family Farmstead. We are less than 30 minutes to Highlands and Western Carolina University. Vaulted ceilings give an airy feel to the small footprint of the cabin. The bedroom is cozy with a queen bed and original artwork by my husband. The kitchen has a tiny stove, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker.
