We’re far enough from the big cities yet close enough to all of the amenities our towns offer such as restaurants, shopping malls, cinemas, historic parks and large grocery stores. Host awarded with "Tyler Short term rental named No. 1 in Tyler Area for 2018". The Enchanted Cottage, a Rustic/Modern cabin built on a fairly steep slope under a canopy of towering hardwood trees w/ Waterview of Lake Palestine. We custom built w/ local woods: cypress, cedar, white & red oak, & pine. Look for the Bald Eagle on the porch. 0ur theme is interesting places out of classic films. On her first visit, my mother suggested the name from the Classic film-The Enchanted Cottage 1945.

Dogwood Cabin on Scenic Wooded Mossbridge Farm

Our two cabins Dogwood and Holly are located on a quiet, wooded 10 acre retreat that is 8 miles from Athens. Our special feature is a spring fed creek that flows year round and has it's own micro climate that is perfect for native ferns, mixed hardwood forest and dogwoods. We have provided a nature trail for bird watching and exercise. Recently we designed and constructed a beautiful pond with three waterfalls and a deck overhanging the water with chairs for enjoying our private paradise.

Maybe I'm a little partial, but I really have to pinch myself when I go visit Callie's cottage. Imagine...a beautiful country road, quiet except for the occasional sound of a cow. A cottage tucked into an abundance of trees, wrap around porch, flagstone firepit area, patio lights strung across the yard, antique mantle with gas fire, crystal chandelier, beadboard from an 1800's farmhouse, a tub big enough for two, the lushest bedding, classical music plays, sweets served. Deep sigh.
