After a day exploring, relax in the outdoor hot tub under the Highland sky.

Balnain cottage is set in a large private garden and enjoys fabulous views from every room. The well maintained, landscaped garden attracts a wide variety of birds and wildlife. Although secluded, the cottage is close to the charming victorian spa town of Strathpeffer and the market town of Dingwall. The picturesque fishing town of Ullapool and Ben Wyvis, one of the easier Munros, are both a short drive away. There are many wonderful walks, cycle tracks and fishing lochs close by.

The cottage lies in secluded woodland accessing wonderful walks around Loch Ussie and views of magnificent Ben Wyvis. Downstairs the cosy cottage has a super kingsize master bed with ensuite and a modern kitchen with induction hob. The original byre extension has been converted into a fantastic living room with high coombed ceiling and a woodburning stove. Upstairs there is a double room, a twin room and a second bathroom. All rooms are beautifully warmed by underfloor heating.

The Cottage was originally a doctors surgery in the early 1900's, then In the mid century was a tea room. Since that time it has been a private home. The perfect place to stay whilst exploring the highlands or driving some of the NC500.
