Footbridge Farm Cabin

Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

Nature’s Nest

Unwind and immerse yourself in nature at this cozy cabin overlooking Timber Coulee Creek. Large living room windows and a spacious deck provide you with a bird’s eye view of the rippling river and many types of wild life. Deer amble through the property; eagles soar and keep an eagle eye on everything. Turkeys, squirrels, coons, and myriad of birds go about their business in this serene environment. Tin Terra Cabin (TTC) is part of Sittin Pretty Farm. TTC is an artful rendering of home using the character and patina of old barn tin and boards accented with the elegance of finely crafted local woods including cherry, red oak, hickory and black walnut. Once inside a feeling of marvel and serenity are sure to help in making heartfelt memories. We are six miles from the attractions of "Viroqua hip" yet nestled in the plain and slow of the Amish with roadside stands cascading produce and pie!

Beautifully decorated 2 bedroom home with a spacious kitchen, large island, dishwasher, washer/dryer & 5' walk in shower. We supply all cooking/baking items/utensils. High-speed internet with smart TVs in both bedrooms and living room. Outdoor pool (seasonal), hot tub and massage chair. We love dogs too, so we provide a dog run (there is a pet fee). For our fishermen- there is off street parking for your boats.

Tranquility & Vistas on the Farm in the Guest Barn

When you arrive at our 16 acre farmstead and enter the Guest Barn, you'll notice the construction materials which were salvaged from a nearby barn and corncrib. The timbers from these buildings were torn down, moved to our farm and rebuilt into a smaller “new” barn. It truly represents a real farm experience you can feel. While here, you'll slow down and enjoy the tranquility. Walk around the farm, make friends with a cow, watch barn kitties play, while gazing across the vast farm vistas.
