This great room is part of my house that is featuring a private entrance, private bathroom, and a kitchenette but not a full kitchen. It is also an old house but well maintained in the neighborhood but not suitable for children. This vibrant architecture with brick, large porch, large windows, and a sense of the 18th century beauty. It’s also located between an highway and a main road, meaning cars noises are present. Please only book if you feel comfortable with the location, a car is ideal.

My house is well located in a quiet neighborhood with a private driveway, Lehigh valley airport is about 15 minutes away, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is about 5 minutes, Bear Creek is about 15 minutes away, Costco, Target, Starbucks, and whole foods are only 2 minutes away, near i78 with many restaurants to choose from, this is not the entire house, is the basement which has a private entrance with private bathroom, you don't share the place with anyone, is exclusively for guests.

The Shanty is a one room 200 sq.ft. cottage for a weekend get-away, a short to long-term work assignment or the perfect spot for creative work like composing or writing. It is three miles from access to the Appalachian Trail and is an ideal respite for thru hikers. It is a quiet, sunny room just a few steps from a private bathroom in the main house. The Nicholas Stoltzfus Homestead is the oldest restored Amish property in Berks County, bought by Immigrant Nicholas Stoltzfus (ancestor of all Stoltzfus descendants in America) in 1771. You will be staying in a peaceful and cozy barn loft apartment with a private entrance beside the stone house. You can enjoy the flower gardens and birds, tour the house, take a bike ride or picnic on the lawn. Adjacent to the property is the Union Canal Towpath on the Tulpehocken Creek.
