Unwind in the roll-top copper bathtub, elegantly set upon a mezzanine platform. We are located in a peaceful village, so ask guests to be mindful of noise. We are not suitable for loud parties or celebrations.

No.2 West Layton Manor is part of an Historic Victorian Manor House built in 1872. The property provides the perfect setting for families and friends gathering for special occasions or holidays in beautiful North Yorkshire. The property boasts 6 kingsize bedrooms equipped with 6 full ensuite bathrooms. A further 7th bathroom is located on the ground floor. There are 3 large reception rooms, 2 open log fires, and approximately 1/2 an acre of gardens. There is private parking for 8 vehicles.

The Old Tannery

A traditional sandstone barn conversion, with a sheltered garden in the beautiful village of Temple Sowerby. Located in the Eden Valley you will be well placed for trips to the Lakes or the Dales. In the village there is a local pub offering 'Day Fishing Licences' on the local river, a church and 'The House at Temple Sowerby' if you prefer some 'Fine Dining'. A short beautiful walk will bring you to 'Acorn Bank' National Trust House, with spectacular walks along the river and a tea room.

18th Century Country Cottage on a working farm

The Old Smithy was the original farm house built in the 18th Century. Completely renovated from derelict in 2002 and freshly redecorated in 2021, it boasts many of its original features; including the old fire range which will keep you warm on those winter nights (an initial basket of logs is F.O.C.) Downstairs, sandstone flag floors and oak beamed ceilings are throughout. A biomass boiler heats the cottage with timber sourced from the farm. Includes laundry, towels, heating and electricity.

Easy access to Penrith, Keswick & Barnard Castle. We are dog friendly with a traditional lounge, cosy log burner, good wifi, smart TV, garden, 3 upstairs bedrooms & a bathroom.

Just 500 metres from our traditional farm, in the glorious Eden Valley with easy access to the lakes is Rayson Hall Barn. Once a stable block dating back to the 17th century it is now lovingly restored.The barn comfortably sleeps 6 in 3 generous bedrooms. Fully equipped with everything you need the cottage is the perfect spot to relax and immerse your self in nature. With numerous walks on your doorstep and farm tours arranged on request come and experience the very best of Cumbria.

Complete with a fully fitted kitchen and a dining table for two, enjoy home cooked meals in this beautiful barn conversion. The living area is furnished with a leather sofa, a TV and an electric fire. The bedroom is separated from the living room. Furnished with a Kingsize bed, bedside shelves and a mirror this studio offers everything you need. The bathroom is fitted with a large walk-in shower and modern tiles. The skylight above allows natural light to stream into the property.

Rural 3-bedroom cottage in quiet village

Our mid-terraced cottage sleeps up to five guests in its three well-presented bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. The heart of the home is its living room, complete with a multi-fuel stove which brings some extra cosiness in the colder months, or somewhere to dry your boots after a day in the fells. We have free parking for two cars on the driveway outside the house, and around the back is a shared garden with outdoor seating, ideal for al fresco dining when the sun is shining!

Nestled amidst stunning countryside in close proximity to both the Lake District and Pennines, this charming getaway offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comforts, with original timber beams, a wood-burning stove, and a private outdoor patio and lawn. The Barn can be booked along with The Byre next door for pairs of couples.
