Winery - Vineyard Rustic Cabin

The Cabin is located on the site of Wooden Wheel Vineyards and Winery. For over 80 years this building served as a summer kitchen and wood shed for the main house, which was removed in the 60's. It was turned into a weekend cabin in the 90's and remodeled for your enjoyment in 2018. On site you can enjoy free wine tasting and a tour of the vineyard and winery. If the urge strikes you, you can have some R&R by helping out in the vineyard. Or, just take a walk back to our pond/timber.

The Milk House at Lucky Star Farm

The Milk House is a unique space located in the countryside, between Iowa City and Kalona. This 700 square foot home has ample parking and room for four adults. The house is well appointed with a full kitchen, two luxurious queen beds, wifi and a Smart TV. Guests are invited to explore our 20-acre working farm with lots of livestock and two friendly dogs. This luxuriously appointed mid century home opens onto a private deck and parklike garden. It feels like being in the country even though it is just a few blocks to the town square and similarly close to the university. The local grocery store is two blocks down an elley that feel like a country road. A truly tranquil retreat. Free bicycles make it easy to get around and enjoy the 17 mile bike trail that circles the town.
