Keene is a major destination for hikers, climbers, skiers, anglers, artists and other adventurous and creative types. Trailheads and the East Branch Ausable River are easily accessible from the cottage. In Keene you’ll find locally-owned shops, markets, and cafes. We are 15 minutes from Whiteface Mountain, an Olympic Ski Resort and 15 minutes from Lake Placid.

Our remodeled Adirondack barn is an open rustic space where you can relax and reconnect with nature in the most natural and comfortable way. It’s within ~20-30 minutes driving distance to areas of interest such as Lake placid, White face and Van Hovenburg ski centers, hiking trails, Swim holes for summer or for skating in winter, trails for backcountry skiing, snowshoeing and many more... Fountains Cabin

This basic cabin is centrally located on Rt 73 close to climbing cliffs and trailheads. With a private setting in the woods it offers a great base for your Adirondack adventures. Please note that this accommodation will be a „GLAMPING“ experience. The cabin HAS NO SHOWER and a limited supply of 5 gallons of water. It is not impervious to the outdoors. Although the cabin is regularly cleaned thoroughly there will be the occasional bug or spider crawling along minding its own business.

This property consists of a bespoke 3 bed, 2 bath log cabin, a studio cabin with additional bed and bath, plus an extra sleeper cabin (a charming enclosed lean-to, overlooking a stream).

SilverBear Cabin, 15 min from Whiteface &ski jumps

This cabin is in the heart of the high peaks, 15 minutes from Whiteface, and 15 minutes from Lake Placid. It is nestled on a hill right off the main road, overlooking the village of Keene! It is within walking distance from all of the shops in town. Although the driveway is plowed, it is steep, so in the winter you will need four wheel drive. The cabin is off Rt 73, but it is tucked away and very private! You don’t see any neighbors! A great year round rental :)
