With quirky character & few mod-cons this is a place to be away from the TV, rest up & enjoy stunning nature on the doorstep. We have kept as many original features as possible, so you get to experience a traditional Kiwi holiday - with a few added comforts. We are dog friendly - check the house rules. Welcome to your getaway. An expansive, lush property bordered by a stream and native trees with an extensive garden where you are welcome to wander and sit. A private and peaceful Hot Tub area is available for your use. "Southwind" is a small rural property surrounded by farmland and other lifestyle blocks. We are 15 mins drive on sealed roads to amenities in both Mangawhai and Wellsford, 8 mins to the Te Arai surf beach turnoff and 12 minutes to the Te Arai Links course.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.

Set just back from the edge of a cliff bordering the Whangarei Harbour you will find a private 1 bedroom cottage, fully equipped with a kitchenette and bathroom, surrounded by sea views and native bush. A short stroll through the Puriri trees will lead you to your very own secluded beach.

We have a modern two bedroom home with amazing views out to The Poor Knights Islands and over looking Dolphin Bay.There are many beautiful bays and interesting bush walks all within 10 minutes travel of our property.The Tutukaka Marina is a 5 minute drive where there are resturants and local shops.
