Welcome to The Brightside ! Our guest cabin is located 15 minutes from downtown Port Angeles and one mile from shorelines of beautiful Freshwater Bay! This cozy cabin is your place to relax and enjoy the nature of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. One mile to the beach and boat launch. Minutes to Discovery trails, Olympic National Park, Hurricane Rige base, Hiking, mountain biking trails , fishing, mushroom hunting, kayaking spots , surf breaks, winery's and many more fun activities close by!

The Carriage House

Our vacation rental is located on ten secluded and wooded acres on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, surrounded by lakes, hiking trails,and gorgeous sunsets on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our guesthouse is named The Carriage House as it sits above a three-car garage. The rental has a full kitchen and bath, with a wood burning stove in the living area. It is a quiet, peaceful and great place to relax. Enjoy our quiet yet close location, listening to the wind in the trees, not traffic going by.

Historic Discovery Bay Beach Cabin Stunning Views

Experience healing and peace with the sound of gentle waves on Discovery Bay. Our cabin was built in 1939 by our grandfather who was an early businessman in Port Townsend. He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

Once tucked back into the woods, this newly improved 1920s cabin now enjoys a front-row seat to the grandeur of the Hood Canal thanks to a tidal creek that has washed away the sandy soil that once supported the departed trees. The Hiker's Cabin serves as an ideal base for daily excursions to explore Olympic National Park and local beaches. Walk directly from the Hiker’s Cabin onto trails leading into the park!
