Cozy Guest Room with Common AreaThis is one of two guest rooms. Beautifully furnished room with a queen-sized bed, walk-in closet with desk/workspace, and access to a shared living space, kitchen, front porch, fireplace, and dining room. We are a few blocks from Historic Route 66, a 3 min drive from downtown, 10 minutes from the Joplin airport, 12 minutes from both Freeman and Mercy hospitals, about 12-15 minutes from Interstate 44 and 49.
Little Brick EmpireLittle Brick Empire is located in the center of town. We are seven minutes from I44 and Mercy Hospital and just five from from Freeman Hospital. KU med school is just blocks away. We are two minutes away from Cunningham Park which sports an awesome pool and play area for the kiddos. See pic. Five blocks away is a great grocery with a Starbucks and a tasty hot deli if you don’t feeling like cooking or going out and an incredible salad bar. We are close to great restaurants too. Downtown is a very short drive. There are lots of cool boutiques, restaurants and night life. Check out Pearl Brothers, a Joplin icon ‘mom and pop’ hardware store originally opened in 1905. They have tons of interesting items and it is like stepping back in time. So cool. You can relax on the shaded front porch of this little bungalow built in 1925. We are in a family friendly neighborhood. The neighbors are great! Inside you will find arched doorways and cozy rooms filled with windows and light. There are original hardwood floors and ample storage. If that is not enough storage-there is an entire dry basement. Decorated in boho/eclectic/traditional/hippie/old school/mid century/modern....we just hope you like it. The kitchen should have everything you need. There is coffee, tea, moo cows and sugar, basic spices and condiments. I am normally around but if I’m not, there will be a family or friend person to help. You can park your beauty in the garage, carport or on the street. The neighbors are nice. Almost forgot. We are about four minutes from Route66.
Stoney Heights, a 2 BR Upper Flat TownhouseSitting atop Stone Haven, a separate entrance leads upstairs to a charming sunny space filled with every creature comfort. The stone cottage sits on a hillside in North Heights, with a view of the Ozarks, in a quiet, well-established neighborhood just blocks from historic Route 66, Ozark Christian College and downtown Joplin. Here is also the site of the Bonnie and Clyde shootout, among other historic sights too numerous to mention. If you have a larger group, both flats together can sleep 8.
