The bike path is 1/2 mile from the house and easily accessible. You will enjoy the quiet wooded location of this completely renovated "cozy" 500 Sq. Ft. one bedroom cottage. Prime Bald Eagle • Wildlife Lake House Retreat

Little House on the Lake sits along one of Iowa’s most active bald eagle corridors, with frequent sightings right from the windows and deck. Our shoreline’s tall trees and the open water near Mehaffey Bridge attract both resident and migrating eagles all winter. Adults show their classic white heads, while juveniles appear larger and brown as they develop. Winter months bring especially high activity as northern lakes freeze and the birds gather here to fish.

The Lincoln Highway Hideaway is a studio apartment nestled in Belle Plaine along the historic Lincoln Highway. A former Maid Rite restaurant, it features two queen-sized beds, a 3/4 bathroom with shower, and private parking. Just a mile from Seven Oaks Recreation Area! 5 miles west of Boone just off Highway 30, this cute and cozy space offers upscale privacy on a wooded lot within 30 minutes of Ames and 50 minutes from Des Moines. This is a guest house on the same lot as the owners, so pride of ownership abounds. It was originally built for the owners' parents and is universally accessible including extra wide doors, fully accessible kitchen and roll-in shower.
