For a quiet get-away from the stress of this busy life, come visit Core Homestead. A sweet home west of the village of Folsom LA. It is Just a few minutes from Global Wildlife Center, one of the largest totally free- roaming reserves of its kind in the country. On eight partially wooded acres, the home was built in the early 1970's on land that was part of a Spanish land grant to the Core family in the early 1800's. This is a 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home that has been completely remodeled.

Our cozy chalet sits in the woods on our 9‑acre property, overlooking a small pond and offering a peaceful escape from busy city life. This is a place to slow down, enjoy quiet mornings by the water, and end the day under the stars, while leaving feeling recharged from your stay at our little piece of paradise.

Little lodge

The Little Lodge is located on a 7 acre gated estate in a wooded bedroom community south of the Village of Folsom. The lodge is on the property beside the main house facing an one acre horse paddock and overlooking a 3 acre pond, dock and gazebo. We are horse friendly. Attractions nearby include; Global Wildlife Center, an Alligator farm, the Bogue Chitto State Park, old town of Covington with antique shops, art galleries, and fine dining. We are only 45 miles from Downtown New Orleans. l
