Because of its size it is not ideal as a romantic getaway for a single couple. It has DSTV with a fireplace for winter and outside a plunge pool and braai (barbeque) area . there are great walks and the bird life is prolific. The Risa House

The Risa House, originally an old farm building, was remodeled into a beautiful guest house. The Risa House has a modern, farmhouse aesthetic. Up to six people can be accommodated in this gorgeous farmhouse. There are three full en-suite bathrooms. The Risa House is perfect for self-catering. There is a fully equipped kitchen, braai facilities, a fireplace to keep you warm on cold nights. Hot Tub: first 2 bags of wood is free there after a charge of R30 per bag.

'River on my stoep' is a well equipped self-catering cottage in the Hekpoort Valley. The wooden cabin is on the Magalies River and is surrounded by the sounds of nature - the haunting cry of a jackal and a chorus of frogs is our music at night. One of the few places that you can still see fire flies at night (in summer) A rowing boat is moored in front of the cottage, exclusively for our guests. 'Catch-and-release' fishing is permitted.
